The Huntsman comes to us from the Ross Andrew winery in Washington’s Columbia Valley, so named because the owner/winemaker loves to hunt. This small winery (current production is around 2500 cases of red and 1400 of white) is the project of Alexandra and Ross Andrew Mickel, who cut his winemaking teeth at Betz Family Winery. Sourced from some of eastern Washington’s finest vineyards, this is a crisp and racy Cabernet with notes of vanilla and black raspberry, clean, lively, and well balanced.
