Surprizingly forward (cocoa), tannins grainy but not aggressive, coacoa, plum, leather, tea. Finish is long and fruitier, ripe cherry, black tea, raspberry. Persistant tannins. GC: cool climate aroma, slight herbaceous, jalapeno, light oak, berry fruit much stronger after decanting/open a few hours, tannins a bit harsh upon opening – much better with decanting, raspberry candy tea, pepper, smoke.
